Barley Saturday 2007 - Stallion Show and Parade

"The show began in Cardigan as far back as 1871. By 1877 there are records of hundreds of horses parading around the streets of Cardigan. It was a celebration of the end of spring sowing - barley being the last cereal to be sown. It had a two-fold role as a half-yearly hiring of farm staff and as an opportunity for the owners of stallions at stud to display their animals and bookings taken. The show is held annually on the last Saturday in April with over a dozen classes for all breeds of stallions, followed by a parade of exhibits as well as heavy horse turnouts and vintage tractors through the streets of Cardigan."

It was an honour on his 'day out' for Magnum to win the Supreme Championship and lead the Parade!
